Tips from the wire desk
Quantify the combined reach in the headline or subheadline, '50,000 merchants' is the news hook.
Both quotes must say different things: yours explains the capability, theirs explains the choice.
Get partner approval in writing before distribution, the fastest way to burn a partnership is a surprise release.
If one party is much bigger, distribute from the smaller company's account; the bigger name in your headline is the win.
Include availability mechanics: where, when, and what it costs. 'Exploring a partnership' is not news.

Who distributes the release when both companies want to announce?
Usually both, with identical or coordinated text and a shared embargo time. Agree on the headline together, that's where conflicts happen.
